Event partner: MongoDB

MongoDB, Inc., headquartered in New York City, is a prominent American software company best known for developing MongoDB, a leading open-source, document-oriented database program. Founded in 2007 under the name 10gen by Dwight Merriman, Kevin Ryan, and Eliot Horowitz, the company shifted its focus entirely to MongoDB in 2009 and changed its name in 2013 to better align with its main product.

The MongoDB database is celebrated for its flexible JSON-like documents with dynamic schemas, making it ideal for managing large volumes of data and supporting rapid iterative development. Its architecture allows easy data integration in certain types of applications, especially those involving big data and real-time analytics.

In addition to the core database, MongoDB, Inc. offers MongoDB Atlas, a cloud-based database service that automates the complexities of deploying, managing, and healing database deployments. This service supports multicloud environments, allowing users to run their databases on major cloud platforms like Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.

The company went public in October 2017, trading on the NASDAQ under the symbol MDB. Since its IPO, MongoDB has continued to expand its product offerings and innovate within the tech industry, positioning itself as an essential tool for developers and companies around the world.
