Meet the speakers!

Neil Laurance

with over two decades in technology and architecture, Neil has led initiatives across telecommunications, finance, and strategic tech transformations. During a 10-year tenure at IG as Chief Architect, Neil guided the company through microservices, data lake, and cloud adoption. During his time with 10x Banking, Neil led the key initiative to migrate all business applications to a more reliable database technology. Currently, as Head of Architecture and Strategic Planning at StoneX Group, Neil continues to steer high-impact architectural strategy.

Gerald Pfeifer

As CTO at SUSE Dr. Gerald Pfeifer leverages his extensive experience in cloud native and infrastructure technologies, software development, and open source from both business and technology angles to help articulate, drive, and promote SUSE's technology vision. He enjoys engaging with users, partners and in the open source realm and chairs the board of openSUSE.

Jeff Kolb

is a Systems Administrator by trade, a Software Engineer by necessity, and a Systems Architect by design, with nearly three decades in tech and 17 years focused on FinTech at StoneX. A CNCF Contributor and dedicated advocate for toil reduction, Jeff has spent the last decade leading containerization and Kubernetes adoption efforts at StoneX, driving transformative, scalable solutions across the organization in service of maintaining resilient and efficient infrastructure.

Nelson Batsford

is a Cloud Native Specialist at SUSE with over 3 years of experience helping organisations across various industries in the UK and Europe adopt Kubernetes and cloud native technologies. A passionate advocate for open source, he also creates and hosts events in the UK to promote cloud native adoption.

Oleksandr Mogylchenko

is a Technical Architect at StoneX, where he is spearheading the development of a containerized platform for developers built on Kubernetes. With a strong background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps, Sasha has previously worked as an SRE/DevOps Engineer at Grid Dynamics and was involved in OpenStack projects at Mirantis. His extensive experience in cloud and container technologies has equipped him with a deep understanding of modern infrastructure solutions.

Marcin Sałacki

is a Software Engineer with four years of experience at StoneX, where he contributes to developing robust, scalable solutions for the financial sector. Before joining StoneX, Marcin worked extensively with .NET and Azure in previous roles, honing his expertise in cloud and software engineering. A former Microsoft Student Partner and active organizer in the .NET PCZ Group, Marcin is passionate about new technologies and distributed architecture. Outside of work, he’s an avid football enthusiast, bringing the same team spirit and dedication to his projects in tech.
